Tea, Sourced with Intention

Our approach to tea starts with our commitment to seek out producers who prioritize people and the environment in their work—growers who value ethical labor, responsible farming, and long-term stewardship of their communities. We think of sourcing as a relationship, not a transaction, and we choose teas that reflect that philosophy. We aim to know as many of the individuals who grow, pick, and process our teas on a first-name basis as possible, and to carry their stories forward in our efforts to bring you great tea.

Beyond the Cup

The values that guide our tea sourcing extend beyond tea itself.

As part of building Gentler, we are committed to supporting nonprofit animal sanctuaries dedicated to the hands-on work of caring for animals in need. These organizations often operate quietly, with limited resources, and with deep commitment to do the most good possible. Supporting them reflects the same principles we look for in our tea partners: responsibility, compassion, and real, on-the-ground impact.

As these relationships grow, we’ll share the stories of the sanctuaries we support and the work they’re doing.

Looking Ahead

Gentler is a long-term project. We see it as something shaped by listening, learning, and making better, gentler, choices over time—for the land and the individuals we share it with, all while getting to enjoy some of the finest teas in the world.
